New ZealandThe Human League are an English synthpop band formed in 1977. Originally a minimal Post-Punk synthesiser-based group from Sheffield, UK, they became one of the most successful New Wave acts of the 80s. The only consistent band member is vocalist and songwriter Phil Oakey. The band's best known configuration was their 1980-1985 lineup of Phillip Oakey (vocals), Joanne Catherall (vocals), Susanne Sulley (vocals), Phillip Adrian Wright (keyboards), Jo Callis (guitar, keyboards) and Ian Burden (bass).

I was born in February 1979. Songs like these remind me of being in Wildwood, NJ. With my parents, my mom who passed in 2023. Walking the boardwalk, people watching with my Nana who is long gone now...I'd do anything to have these people back in my life. I miss them so much.

Jimmy Jamm and Terry Lewis worked this one. Completely a masterpiece, a classic and still slamming. The Human Leagues second and final billboard US number one.
