Czech RepublicSix60 is a New Zealand pop-rock band formed in Dunedin, Otago, in 2008 comprising Matiu Walters (lead vocals, guitar), Ji Fraser (lead guitar), Chris Mac (bass guitar), Marlon Gerbes (synthesiser), Hoani Matenga (bass guitar) and Eli Paewai (drums). The band members bonded over a shared love of NZ music and a passion for making their own and formed after meeting at a Kora concert in 2006. honestly nz is one the best countries in the world, its tiny and quiet but theres enough of everything. people see it as boring cos its small but the diversity is amazing, the vibe, the pride, the girls, the moari's, the gangs, the punks, the weed, the tui. i've lived in england for a total of 16 years and nz for 4, i live in england now but i can honestly say nz is better and its my home, can't wait to be back.

This song hits me right in the gut. Three years ago I found the courage to leave a violent marriage of 27 years. My 23 yr old Son came with me. We just road tripped for 2 months and Six60 were always on the cd player. Life is now good but will never forget those days. Would love to go to a Six60 concert with him. Many memories of new beginings.
I'm from Scotland, but spent 12 years of my adult life in Aotearoa. Whenever I think of my 'roots', it's NZ, not Scotland I think of, which is super strange I'm sure, but there it is.
