Ben Folds' musical career started to get off the ground in the late '80s, as bassist for band Majosha, after playing bass and piano at Pinehurst, in a group known as the "Caroliners" with cohort Millard Powers in 1985-1987; he also played drums as a session musician in Nashville. I've fallen down the hole of 90s nostalgia. But that's okay, life is better down here anyway.
My girlfriend got pregnant in 1989 while I was a young paratrooper at Ft Bragg and she was just out of highschool in a small NC town. We dicided that she should get an abortion and went to the first appointment to do just that. While waiting for the second appointment to have the abortion, we somehow mutually came to the decision not to go through with it. Dec 14 1990 she gave birth to my beautiful baby boy Zachary. Fast foward 2 years, we are on the brink of divorce and we discover he is hadicapped, Autistic specifically. Fast forward again to present day. Zachary is 34 and amazing. He is one of the pure ones among us. His Mother and I are both remarried but remain the best of friends and co-parent Zachary who lives with me. Not going to that second appointment remains the best decision I ever made in my life. Love to all.

365 days have passed since I last commented on this song, and here we are—28 years later.
